Be faithful to a church - Step 6 part A

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!!
    Step 6 - Be Faithful to a church - huh?  I thought we should be faithful to God.  Yes, however, Jesus established the church while He was on earth to unite Christians as a spiritual family.  Matthew 16: 1And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
     The word "church" means "called out ones."  The church is made up of people who have been called out to follow Jesus.  The term church is used to refer to all believers, and more specifically, the local group of believers.
   Many say, I don't have to go to church to believe.  This is so true, we can be believers and not attend a church, however, the reason for a church is to join with others for Biblical instruction, fellowship, worship and service.   For discussion now here is Acts 2:
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
   Think about these verses and the next lesson with continue with instruction, fellowship and worship. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
