HURRY! NO!!!- slow down-take time (part 2) James 1:19

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!
   H U R R Y !  As I traverse the hills and valleys of life my understanding tends to become less and less. The more I learn, it seems, the less I know.  BUT, this I do know and believe--one nasty and vicious word is HURRY!
    Don't HURRY, take time, practice your LISTENING with someone today, tomorrow, in the future.  James 1:19 tells us how to respond to the trials of life.  (part 1 at JohnnyBdaily)
      We are to be doers of the word, not just hearers.  Look at James 1:21-26 -- 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
  23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
  24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
  25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone among you[b] thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

   I challenge you to take time, don't hurry, but take time to examine this scripture.  Receive the word which will save your soul. If you hear only you deceive yourself as the scripture states a man sees himself in a mirror and then when he goes away forgets what kind of man he was.  I can look in a mirror and take pride in my looks and proclaim what kind of person I am, but when I walk away--that image is gone.
     Verse 25 tells us works were done by faith and actions are necessary to affirm our inner change.  The dead body offers no breath; the live body breathes.  So is the dead in Christ and the alive in Christ.  The dead, ones not saved, have a useless religion; whereas the alive in Christ carries forth the word of God and will be blessed in what he/she does.  Where are you today?  Are you quick to hear or quick to speak?
    Take time my friend, take time!!  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
   Johnny
